Building load and energy simulation is the theoretical basis for building energy efficiency. The rational and accuracy of building load calculation methods and software are the key to accurately calculate the building load.Meteorological parameters are theoretical basic data to calculate the building load and energy consumption,updating of meteorological parameters and validation is a very necessary and essential task. At the same time, different cooling load calculation software, as well as among different building energy simulation software have a large results discrepancy, which can not provide effectively guide to the engineering practice.Found the causes of the differences and got reasonable ways of improvement are very important for designing HVAC system and reducing building energy consumption.This article study the building load calculations and related contents.The main contents are the development of the theory of cooling load calculation, sky radiation calculations, inter-model comparison of building cooling load calculation software, inter-model comparison of the building energy simulation programs and load calculation software,the influence of the change of external design data of HVAC system to load calculation.This article has been following conclusions:compared to the ASHRAE 2009 version sky radiation calculation model,Chinese sky radiation calculations are basically same on the horizontal total radiation data, but the beam radiation intensity is significantly higher than the ASHRAE calculations; The results of design cooling load calculation software are quite different, but after alignment, harmonization and updating of radiation distribution model, the results are well consistent; the core theory of non-transparent envelope calculation of building energy simulation software and design load calculation software showed a good consistency, but because of different on application, calculated precondition,sophistication in calculation and the model of transparent construction, leading to inconsistencies in the actual use.Building energy simulation software can not replace the design load calculation programs; The change of external design data of HVAC system in China make the heating load reduces obviously in different cities, but the cooling load doesn't change significantly. The different result between winter and summer not only because of the difference of ambient temperature's change trend but also because the load calculating methods are different.
