The Research Of Ecological Design In Shanghai World Expo

In order to get rid of ecological crisis facing humanity and achieve sustainable economic and social development, the eco-cultural studies began to emerge around the world since the seventies of last century,and the ecological and environmental agencies have began to established, then ecological philosophy, ecological aesthetics and other emerging disciplines began to appear, to eradicate the non-ecological ideas from the root. The eco-design is one of the most important branch, its meaning can be explained from three aspects:First, from the perspective of protecting the environment, it must reduce resource consumption; the second is from a commercial point of view, it must reduce costs, reduce potential liability risk to enhance the competitiveness of products; third, infusion the circular economy concept in the process of product design.It is also means we should comply with the design of circular economy principles or methods and apply to various engineering, product and service design, achieving a small input, high output, low-pollution to improve the competitiveness of the green. Seeing from the macro point, Eco-design ideas showed a sustainable development theory; it is the long-term people-oriented design concept and the overall design concept of harmony and unity which contained such as design, nature, environment and people. The 2010 Shanghai World Expo theme is "Better City, Better Life".With the acceleration of urbanization, the interaction between the city's organic system and earth biosphere resources system is also becoming more and more deepened and expanded. Three organic systems, people, the city and the earth, linked together, this relationship throughout the course of urban development, the three facts will be increasingly integrated into an inseparable whole. Therefore,looking for a sustainable urban development concepts, practices and innovative new energy-saving technologies for developing sustainable urban development patterns around the corner.Expo as an important platform on which the world economic, technological and cultural can be exchanged, on this platform people can lesson learned, show scientific and technological achievements and find out a road of development.2010 Shanghai World Expo continued for 184 days, especially during this period, the world's governments and peoples around the theme of "Better City, Better Life" to demonstrate the achievements of urban civilization, exchange experience in urban development, disseminate advanced notions on cities to explores a new model for the life and work to Human habitation in the new century, to create a harmonious society, sustainable development provides a vivid example for ecological and human.This paper tries to see Shanghai World Expo from a designer's point,and begin from the theme of search for urban sustainable development road, and strive to comprehensive analysis of the system at the Shanghai Expo reflects aspects of ecological design, for example, ingenious venues design, application of energy-saving environmentally friendly building materials, new energy development and utilization as well as landscaping and other projects,then elaborate the connotation and extension of ecological design, look ahead the future development prospects about ecological design. To enhance people's awareness of environmental protection, and it can provide a reference for achieve economic, social and environmental benefits of unity.
