It has been seen in recent years an increasing attention on the environmental problem which is expected to be addressed with certain technologies. However,for landscape architects, a complete and systemic set of ecological techniques is especially necessary to serve as a guide of practice.This paper, by clarifying such relevant concepts and theories as ecological technology and urban green space, using other technical indicator systems and analyzing the application experiences and achievements of ecological technology in some excellent Chinese and foreign cases, attempts to construct a framework for the application of ecological technology in the urban green space system. Moreover, the thesis, with Shanghai World Expo 2010 as a case, makes an in-depth research on how to systematically apply ecological technology to the urban green spaces, which shows that the system established can be easily retrieved and provide guidance for the designers to make a systematic application of eco-technology.The focus of this research is on the construction of the eco-technology system and on the application study of the ecological technology in the green space of Shanghai World Expo 2010.As a specialized research on the application of eco-technology in the urban green spaces, the dissertation, through theoretical analysis and practical investigation, probes into the problems of how to apply eco-technology system to the green space construction. It tries to form an effective and systematic application framework of ecological technology by means of technological research and is an extensive exploration of the ecological construction of urban green space.
