As a new public transportation means,Bus rapid transit (BRT) is promoting on current international a public transportation mode. As Kunming, Beijing, Hangzhou, jinan, Changzhou city, etc, the BRT practice in China's development has already started and have achieved some construction and operation experience. Based on the comprehensive bus rapid transit case development at home and abroad, on the basis of BRT planning process of the key problem is studied. First this bus rapid transit development present situation, on the basis of theoretical study of bus rapid transit planning is summarized and summarized progress. On the analysis of the current situation of the development of the bus rapid transit summarized, based on the BRT system component, and bus rapid transit characteristics are analyzed. Next the concept of from bus rapid transit BRT planning, discusses the main contents of the process and work of the programming method, and puts forward the evaluation index system. Rapid transit site from the planning position and form study Angle, summarizes status in case was analyzed on the basis of different forms and different position setting site features and planning principles. Subsequent research in the average passenger travel the shortest time for target to determine the optimal site spacing BRT, and summarizes the method established BRT characteristics from the optimal station computational models. Finally, for example, ChongQing road in Qingdao city of bus rapid transit route laying, special lanes, site layout and the traffic operation security measures are studied, proposes the construction scheme of system, available for reference in similar engineering and discussion.
