Spillway is prevalently applied to hydro-junction as a water release structure. With the development of hydraulic and hydro-power projections, the application of spillway bend is yearly increasing,while the research on it is still insufficient, and the achievements of spillway bend study do not meet the requirements of engineering practices,especially in three-dimensional numerical modeling. Therefore, the study of spillway-inlet's characteristics is meaningful in theory significance and engineering applications.In this thesis, by reviewing and summarizing the study of predecessors', the complex flow in the spillway-inlet of Jinan Wohushan Reservior is investigated with numerical simulation and experimental study. The main contents of the studies and achievements are as follows: (1)The realizable k-smodel, the trace technology in volume of fluid method(VOF) and the region discrete method of non-structure grids are applied to simulating the inlet-flow's free surface numerical model of spillway in three-dimensional,the obtained hydraulic elements such as flow regime,velocity,dynamic pressure and water surface profile are coincided with the result of physical model.This study also obtained the regularity of velocity field and pressure field distribution and the regularity of secondary flow,predicted the whirlpool location and structure in import area of the shore type spillway. The result show that realizable k-εturbulence model can be used in the simulation of inlet whirlpool in hydraulic structures. (2)A study of hydraulic characteristic of rpillway inlet in WoHuShan reservoir in Jinan has been done. By the combination of numerical simulation and model test method,the shape of the original design was successfully optimized. Results show that the optimization scheme has effectively improved the spillway of inlet flow regime,greatly weakened the vortex, eliminated left right backflow.At the same time, the spillway of discharge capacity and velocity distribution uniformity were improved.All these calculations and physical model experimental results coincided well. The research can also provide references to other similar shore type spillway. (3)The statistical characteristics of the fluctuating pressure recorded in the experiments are analysed,the result of numerical simulation is in coincidence with the physical model test result.Based on this, regulation of fluctuating pressure distribution according to space coordinates change of water channel's side wall is investigated.
