With the development of high-speed railway, bridges with the box girder structure are widely used. As a main box girder fabricating tool, box girder formwork then develops greatly. With the help of hydraulics and electrical technology, the box girder formwork's automation degree is highly increased.The strength and stifiness of the box girder formwork affect the box girder's quality directly, therefore they must be verified. It is very hard to calculate the entire strucrure's stength and stifiness accurately using the traditional mechanical design method. As a result, the finite element analysis method is used in this dissertation.The stength and stifiness of one box girder inner formwork is verified with the help of the CAD software SolidWorks and the widely used large scale finite element analysis software ANSYS. The main contents of this article include:1. Analyzes the development of box girder formwork both at home and abroad.2. Introduces the structure and components of box girder formwork.3. Establish the 3D model of box girder formwork then import it to the ANSYS software to form its finite element model.4. Verify the box girder interior formwork's load-carrying capacity and deformation-resistance capacity using the finite element method.5. Determine the worst loadcase of box girder inner formwork's main girder and supporting trolly, establish corresponding finite element models, then verify their strength and stifiness.This paper establishes finite element model of the interior formwork based on various working conditions, loads according to standard, and checks major components' intensity and stiffness of the interior formwork. The results show that major components'intensity and stiffness meet the requirements, which provides a basis for later model optimization.
