The Study On The Reforming Project Progress Schedule And Control Of Wang Yuyang's Former Residence

Nowadays, as more and more attention has been paid to the cultural industry in China, the renovation of ancient buildings has become one of the most important tasks. Since ancient buildings are historic heritage, the principle of the renovation is to preserve the current appearances and to restore the original state. Scientific methods should be applied to prevent them from being destroyed so as to prolong their life time. What's more important, great efforts should be made to preserve their value in the field of history, art and science.Schedule control is not only an important part in project management, but also one of the following three major aims of a project, that is, project investment, project schedule and project quality. Project schedule is the plan which arranges the order of all work, indicates the start time and the finish time, and deals with the interrelationships of every link. Through the formulation of schedule control, project execution constitutes an organic unit. Progress control makes proper adjustments to the schedule according to the large or small deviation happened during the process of carrying out it in order to eliminate the deviation and hit the target on time. Practice has proved that the application of project management in the construction plays an important role in improving the project quality, guaranteeing the construction period and reducing the costs. Therefore, it is of vital importance to concentrate on the project schedule during the project construction. On this basis, the research on the project schedule control of the renovation of ancient buildings is placed on a more prominent place.This paper takes the renovation of Wang Yu yang's former residence as the background. Firstly, it gives a brief introduction of the renovation of Wang Yu yang's former residence. Secondly, the project organization is listed, the work breakdown structure is made, and Gantt charts and critical path method are used to make reengineering plans according to the logical relationship between processes. Finally, combining with the scheduled plan and tracking the project, progress control is applied to find out the problems, establish the project control system and finally adjust the project schedule plan, through which the renovation of Wang Yu yang's former residence is under control.In a word, the thorough, scientific and systematical analysis to the project schedule control of the renovation of Wang Yu yang's former residence provides an important referential basis for the development of the second phase.
