According to the high-speed railway traction power supply system, the traction transformer is large in installed capacity, and has the main load for the AC-DC-AC electric locomotive, with large power, high speed and high power factor, which puts forward many higher requirements for a mass of electrical equipment needed by the electric railway, especially the traction transformer. Meanwhile, the traction transformer has to be provided with the high overload capability because of the undulatory property of the traction load. The important realistic significance is performed for saving the capacity of the traction transformer, improving the utilization ratio of the capacitor of the traction transformer, searching the typical load curve capable of accurately reflecting the real traction load process, performing temperature rise calculation and life loss analysis on the basis of the above.On the basis of actual traction network data of AT power supply mode of high-speed railway, this paper obtains the typical load curve of traction transformer via establishing a simulation model of all-parallel AT traction system and researching the distribution condition of load on the winding of traction transformer when the traction network is normally run; furthermore, it is verified that the simulation model adopted by this paper has relatively high reliability via analyzing the measured traction load curve of Zhengzhou-Xi'an passenger special line.This paper analyzes the calculating method about life loss of transformer in the standards of IEC and IEEE, performs the temperature rise and life loss analysis to the typical load curve of traction transformer and actual measured load curve of Zhengzhou-Xi'an passenger special line and discusses the influence of the traction load to the transformer temperature rise and life loss under various traffic density. Meanwhile, this paper uses the winding temperature rise and life loss of traction transformer of high-speed railway as constraint condition, optimizes the capacity of traction transformer and analyzes the matching problem of life loss and temperature rise and the matching problem of installing capacity and actual load of traction transformer, thereby making the capacity selection of the traction transformer of high-speed railway has evidence.
