| From 21 century, our modern world starts to step into the stage called information society, which the technology and science have reached to a new level. According to the growing up of our country's economy, the speech of construction and update of facility in university of upper level education would definitely accelerate. At the same time, the promotion of open teaching and modern educational theory would attracts more attention to the outside environment of the lecture room, which emphasizes the communication and cooperation between students and processors, as well as the feeling of public social spaces. Also, by the developing of economy and technology, the forms of atrium start to transfer, following the changing happen to the academic building. Since the Academic Building having more and more function according to more and more subjects, the character and function of atrium need to re-define. By occupying the atrium of academic building smartly, it can support the communicate activity and environment strongly, In another way, by overlapping multiply functions for atrium, such as occupy it as exhibit hall or open lecture space, can use the building space efficiently.Base on the background above, by comparing and analyzing lots of atrium in academic buildings from different universities overall China, this thesis focused on the design of atrium, combining theories and on-site investigate. By investigating traffic circulation, spacial issue, functional setting and environmental facility, this thesis tries to summary up some important rules for atrium of academic building. In the way of comparing and analyzing all these existing example, and searching for the relationship of these four points by separately and overlap, it try to find some experience to create efficiently occupancy and excellent communicate space. It is willing to offer some useful evidence and advices for future design and occupy of atrium in academic building which acceding to diversity function. |
