The national economic and social development plans for the twelfth five-year is to promote smart grid construction, strengthen urban and rural power grid construction and renovation, enhance power grid and optimize distribution ability and power supply reliability by relying on the advanced technology such as information, control and energy storage and so on.20 million kilometers of transmission lines above 330 kv will be built, smart grid construction is about to be developed and reformed, the use of smart meters will be promoted, and the corresponding electric vehicle charging station will be constructed.As the development direction of future power grid, smart grid affects permeates all the aspects of power transformation, which is power generation, transmission, distribution and utilization. Among these links, intelligent substation is undoubtedly the most core part. Intelligent substation is evolved from digitized substation, and after several years of development, this technology gets perfected. Compared with other links, intelligent substation has reached the standard that can be performed in a large-scale. Intelligent Substation contains the station control layer, the spacing layer and process layer. Its biggest difference from traditional substation is reflected in the following three aspects:primary device intelligent, state of equipment maintenance, and secondary equipment network.The aim of this thesis is to design a whole substation, and simulate the substation network system.Firstly, it introduces the substation's important role in power system. Then it makes analysis of the present situation of intelligent substation both at home and abroad, and demonstrates the characteristics of new technology that appears in intelligent substation.Secondly, it introduces the new technology of primary equipment in the intelligent substation, especially hv switchgear, transformer of intelligence, electronic transformer technology and primary equipment of on-line monitoring with intelligent diagnosis technology. Utilization of these new technologies greatly promotes the process of substation intelligent; also, improvement of primary equipment drives the development of secondary technology. In the intelligent substation, the network of second device could realize information sharing, which will greatly promote substation intelligent level and reduce the possibility of the incorrect operation that caused by human. The secondary technology focuses on the on-line five-protection technology and procedure operation.Finally, it cites the engineering example of Qi Liping 110 kv substation. According to its actual demand and long-term planning, the paper is devoted to design the primary part of substation, then design the secondary part of substation based on the primary part. Then it uses the relevant software to simulate Qi Liping 110 kv substation of network, and finally gets the factors that influence the network transmission from different aspects.
