At present, seismic isolation technology have been widely used in the construction of new buildings and reinforcement of existing buildings. There are various of seismic isolation devices and the location of seismic isolation layer is very flexible. So, it is very necessary to study the performance parameters of seismic isolation devices and deeply understand the theory of seismic isolation technology and find the key factors related to the damping effect of building so that we can accurately assess the performance of isolated structures in the earthquake. It is very important to reduce earthquake damage and protect the safety of the people. This article analysis the seismic response of concrete frame isolated structure, Main works are as follows:Based on documents and damage investigation, the article introduces principles and methods of the traditional seismic structural system and the design and means of implementation of isolated structure, then details the development of isolated structure and the unique damping effect.Based on the analysis of the research and design rules of domestic and foreign literatures, the article describes the isolation device performance parameters and calculation method of the isolated structure. In the same time the article introduces the key factors for dynamic time history analysis of isolated structure in the selection of seismic waves.A nine-floor concrete frame structure model of anti-seismic and three isolated structure modes are employed for time history analysis, in which Etabs9.5.0 is used as the finite element analysis program and the El-centro and Taft waves as the seismic input. The effects of the location and equivalent damping ratio of isolation layer to horizontal damping effect are synthesized in the way of comparing three indexes of isolation performance, named interlaminar shear force, interlaminar displacement and interlaminar absolute acceleration. The result showes that, compared to the anti-seismic structure, each of these three programs has a positive impact in the damping effect. Especially, the isolation layer damping can consume the seismic energy and reduce the peak of seismic response. it is favorable to isolated structure.
