Electricity has become the main traction power in railway systems. Constructing electrified railway is the major task of Chinese railway development according to The Middle and Long Term Plan of Chinese Railway Network. Under the guidance of national planning, the undeveloped western regions such as Inner Mongolia start to develop Electrified railway in the last recent two years. Electrified railway in Inner Mongolia adopts three phase power supply system. But its traction transformers are all V/V-type two-phase transformers.Because the three phase traction system accesses a large number of asymmetries power supply system. It has brought new problems for the present network which uses symmetrical components method to fault calculation and Setting calculation。So it is necessary to study the special structure of the electrified railway power supply system and Search a new algorithm for fault calculation of the asymmetric structure system. It can accurately calculate the fault parameters and setting values of the electrified railway transmission system. It has great practical significance on developing the software for fault calculations and setting calculation of the electrified railway V/V transition system. This paper makes analysis about the electrified railway V/V transition system with phase component model and the compensation method. It checks their accuracy by an example .The paper also solves the problem which can not be solved by the symmetrical component method. The mathematical models and develop ideas are provided for the development software including electrified Railway V/V transition and transmission line fault calculation and setting calculation.
