The rapid development of China's national economy call for higher railway transport capacity. These years, because both electrified railway transportation growth and lack of traction substation design capacity ,with the continuously increasing network load, the voltage of traction net fall heavily, that affecting normal traffic arrangements.This paper compare several kinds of equipments' configuration and their charateristicsfeacher, such as On-load Tap Changer Transformer, Serial capacitor compensation and SVC, integrated the advantages of these types of equipment, give a new kind of solution. This solution is DSP-based Thyristor Controlled Serial Transformer (TCST) Voltage Regulator, with view to achieve better regulation resultsThis paper expatiate the system working principle and circuit topology, research on control strategies, give the flow chart of control method and design the controller system base on DSP TMS320F2812,develop the control algorithm software in C language. Finally this paper modeling the TCST system to simulate the regulate ability using Matlab software.The simulation results show that the system has a good voltage compensation capability, and help to design the guiding parameters of main ciruit.
