Parametric design technology of mechanical parts is one of the most importance techniques of mechanical CAD technology. Parametric design can not only greatly improve the speed of production's generation and modification, but also can ensure the precision of production. Parametric design technology play a important part in mechanical production's series design, similar design and CAD systems's development. Reducer's traditional design always need long cycle and is cockamamie, so, to reduce the cycle, predigest design, improve design quality ,apace and accurately complete the design assignment, the best method is using parametric technology empolder a CAD parameters system of reducers.The key points of ZDY standard gear reducer's parametric design and modeling has been deeply researched in this thesis, also,the dispose measures of design data and three-dimensional parametric modeling technology's principle and measures has been researched in this paper. The following are the main works and conclusion of this thesis.Based on the research of the configuration and traditional design measures of ZDY standard reducers, a deeply research of the disposal method of chart data process and the methods of managing data-base has been carried out, data interpolation, curve fitting and ADO technique has been introduced into the data process in order to effectively resolve the problem of processing complex chat data.The key problem of the three-dimensional parametric modeling of ZDY reducers has been researched in this thesis. through the measures of combining the variable table of Solid Edge and using VB direct Solid Edge to modeling, the three-dimensional parametric modeling of gears, axes, standard-parts etc has been successfully actualized, the problem of the part dimension's cooperate- change in assembly modeling has been solved through using congener variable and associated modeling.The process of ZDY standard reducers'design and calculation has been researched in this thesis, in order to provide guarantee for getting the design parameter in the reducers'design, the process of gears and axes'design and calculation has been deeply researched.The research of the parametric design of ZDY standard reducers and prototype systems has been carried out through using VB as develop tools, based on the Solid Edge and combining the ADO and Access techniques. The frame of prototype systems and prototype systems'interface have been amply designed, the using means and function of this system have been explained through using a design example, the feasibility and validity of this thesis'research methods and this parametric design systems. have been validated.
