In the field of Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, the Pipeline System is widely used in plant construction and productive process, because it's the main pathway to transport the raw material. Besides, in the Aero Engineering and Ship Engineering, pipeline is also the important part. So, the pipeline is critical for the work of industrial devices and the safety of airplanes or vessels.But in the actual working condition, the on-off of valves and the vibration transmission of the fluid machinery will force the pipeline in synchronous vibration or even severe vibration, which would reduce the efficiency and cause the structure damage. Thus, the pipeline vibration control is very important, both for the transport and industrial.This subject is based on the above background, elaborate the achievements of theory research and application research, and propose the method of Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) to reduce the pipeline vibration. After the theory deduction, model simulation and experiment verification, the main results of the subject is listed as following:1. Because of the imperfect of fluid structure interaction, TMD is a good application method, because it's easily fixed, simply designed and low cost.2. Using the finite element method and commercial finite element software, the PS modal is simulated. Also, the relationship between PS and liquid filling level is discussed.3. From the differential equation and transfer function, the influence for PS is expounded under the condition of Uni-TMD and Multi-TMD. Meanwhile, the result on time domain and frequency domain is compared.4. A general TMD design principle and process is proposed and an experiment platform is done.5. The experiment results verify the validity of theory and simulation, and TMD is effective and superior in reducing the PS vibration.
