Earthquakes,strong winds and other external incentives are very easy to produce large amplitude vibration of high-rise buildings,which threatens the comfort and safety of the structure,thus the vibration cotrol of high-rise structure is imminent.In order to reduce or restrain the structural response caused by dynamic loads,a large number of applications of vibration control have been emerging,including tuned mass damper?TMD?,which is one of the most popular.However,when TMD are applied to the structural vibration control,the vibrational energy of the primary structure will be transferred to the additional TMD.Next the energy will be converted into heat by the damping components installed on the TMD.If the energy-consuming components of the TMD is replaced by collecting energy transducer,or adding the piezoelectric transducer or electromagnetic transducers between the main structure and additional TMD,the vibration energy of the primary energy will be converted into electricity very well,to achieve the dual-function of structural vibration control and energy harvesting.Derived from the national natural science Fund,the studies was conducted on the research and simulation analysis of the TMD system with dual-function of structural vibration control and energy harvesting.Contents and results include:?1?It is introduced the background and the current situation of the techniques of structural vibration control,the theory of TMD,the concept of inerter,structural vibration control and energy harvesting of civil structure,research of shock absorption and energy collecting of TMD,to define the purpose and significance of the research.?2?It is briefly introduced the principles of energy collection and device structures of the electromagnetic tuned mass damper?EM-TMD?.The dynamics modellings of the coupled EM-TMID and single degree of freedom structures?SDOFs?is established.Based on the H2 theory and Monte Carlo pattern search method,the parameters of EM-TMD are optimized.And numerical simulations are conducted on the dual-function of the EM-TMD system with the time-history analysis.?3?In order to further improve the dual-function of EM-TMD,based on the EM-TMD,introduced with the concept of inerter,it is proposed the electromagnetic tuned mass-inerter damper?EM-TMID?.The dynamics modellings of the coupled EM-TMID and SDOFs suffered from the earthquake and mechanical fluctuating wind loads are established.Through H2 theory and Monte Carlo pattern search method,the parameters of coupled models are optimized and time-history analysis are conducted on the dual-function of the EM-TMID system.?4?To further improve the the dual-function,on the basis of EM-TMID,it is proposed the electromagnetic shunt tuned mass-inerter damper?EMS-TMID?,in which the non-oscillating electromagnetic system?RL?shunted with EM-TMID is replaced by oscillating electromagnetic system?RLC?,and the modal of the peak frequency domain have been changed from 2 order to 3 order.The dynamics modellings of the coupled EMS-TMID and SDOFs suffered from the earthquake and mechanical fluctuating wind loads are established.Through H2 theory and Monte Carlo pattern search method,the parameters of EMS-TMID are optimized and numerical simulation are conducted on the dual-function of the EMS-TMID system.
