International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), whose purpose is to demonstrate the technological exactitude, engineering feasibility, operating security of thermonuclear fusion reactor for peaceful and safe purpose as an energy source, is a large-scale international cooperation project which is ongoing study. ITER PF (Poloidal Field) magnet feeders are used to convey the cryogenic supply and electrical power to the superconducting coils as well as house the instrumentation wiring, whose designing work involves electromagnetism, mechanics,heat-transfer theory, dynamics, vacuum and materials and so on.The subject is supported by the Major State Basic Research Development Program of China (973)-"research of ITER high temperature superconducting ultra high current lead type superconducting transmission Line", the Major State Basic Research Development Program of China (973)-'The design and preliminary research about superconducting feeder system of ITER'", ITER Plan Special Support-"thie research of feeder in ITER large scale superconducting magnet system".The subject research focus are shown as follows:Taking into account the security and reliability of the device, take simulation analysis for PF (Poloidal Field) magnet feeders before the PF feeders are manufactured, in order to get the electromagnetic force and structural stress in the structure and provide basis for structural design.Main research work and creative points of the paper are shown as follows:First, based on the introduction for fusion principle, component part of ITER device and the structure feeder system, the results of electromagnetic force distribution are obtained through the electromagnetic field simulation analysis for the PF magnet feeders. As foundation, the best spacing for the busbar support is obtained through the theoretical calculation and the iterative optimization by ANSYS. Second, overall analysis model of the PF magnet feeders are established, the coupling strength simulation analysis is performed for the PF magnet feeders. The structural stress of the PF magnet feeders in gravity loads, temperature load electromagnetic loads and magnets displacement loads are evaluated reference to ASME specifications. Reasonable feeder system structures are obtained through the optimization and analysis for the original structure based on the evaluation. Once again, for validation the rationality of the cooling schemes, the cooling process simulation analysis is calculated for the PF magnet feeders. Based on the temperature distribution at the stable state, the thermal stress analysis is calculated for the PF magnet feeders. and finally, the natural frequencies and mode shapes, the peak stress and defonnation by applying different direction SDD seismic response spectrum are obtained through the dynamical analysis for the PF magnet feeders, including model analysis and response spectrum analysis, which verifier the safety performance of the PF magnet feeders under the seismic load.Figure 57 table 22 reference 42...
