Each year, there are numerous asphalt pavements which need reconstruction. The traditional construction method is to remove the old pavement and rebuild a new one, and it will result in masses of waste materials. This will occupy vast expanses of land, contaminate surrounding areas, and result in an enormous waste of resources as well. The adoption of cold in-place recycling technology which could reutilize the materials of the asphalt pavement is an effective measure in accordance with sustainable development law.Based on the research achievements from inland and abroad, the thesis summarizes principle of asphalt aging and rejuvenation. Analyzes the cold recycling mixture technology with addictive of cement, lime flyash or asphalt (elestex and foamedasphalt), Compares performance of emulsified asphalts and foam asphalt. Summaries construction Technology with different addictive. Combs construction quality control points on the in-site cold recycling with different addictive .This thesis simulates typical pavement structure on cold recycling through the finite element, Carries on mechanics analysis to the structure layer of the pavement , Establishes the relation on pavement mechanic indexes, including the cold recycling dug depth, modulus, the displacement of each structural layer, the shear stress , tensile stress . Analyzes the mechanic change regularity of typical pavement. Determined the best dug depth and modulus of the cold recycling layer.According to the cold recycling mixture technology with addictive of cement,it also determines the cold recycling application scope of each addicticves.Besides, the thesis also draws a technical and economical comparison between the cold in-place recycling and the programmed construction method by the engineering entity. The results indicate that cold in-place recycling meets the requirements of pavement performance and it is a desirable mode in road mass-modification, in particular for the reconstructionof county and town road.
