The dynamic load identification had a great development and developed a lot of new and feasible methods in recent years. The technology of the distributed dynamic load identification based on orthogonal polynomial theory had been applied to simple structure. In this paper, the identification of distributed dynamic load was studied further, and was used to curved surface and complicated box structures. The module of dynamic load identification had been developed in the platform of Msc.Patran.First, this paper introduced the principle of distributed dynamic load identification in the frequency-domain based on orthogonal polynomial theory. The technology is to establish a link between the dynamic response and the distributed load. And the coefficient of the orthogonal polynomials can be worked out according to the above conncection, and then use orthogonal polynomials to fit the dynamic load function. Both one dimensional and two dimensional problems had been discussed. Space mapping technology had been brought in for curved surface and complicated box structures. The identification of distributed dynamic load on such kind of structures had been achieved by mapping three dimensional structure to two dimensional space using the method of projection mapping and sphere mapping respectively. And proposed a general program on zoning identification based on principle of linear superposition. The analytical solution to location identification of concentrated dynamical loads on a simple model was demonstrated, and a finite element approach was proposed.Second, based on the theory above, compiled the concentrated dynamic load identification module and the distributed dynamic load identification module by redevelopment of Patran using PCL language, and this realized the identification of dynamic load in Patran. Simulation examples proved the correctness and feasibility of the module developed by this paper.
