At present,civil and military areas make higher requests in aircraft.The new generation of aircraft is required to keep good performance in the flight enviroment with great changes and on different missions.Morphing aircraft could change its own shape according to the changes on flight enviroment and missions to keep the best flight status by making use of smart material or other actuators.Shape memory alloy (SMA) is an interesting candidate for aeronautic applications for its nice actuator performance ,high power density ,and its compliance with harsh environments.This paper is about some theoretical and practical research on the morphing wing actuated by SMA. First,the bearing structures of the morping wing are calculated and designed and analysis of the performance in detail of the SMA is finished and the type of SMA is chosen. The configuration of the SMA actuators is ascertained. Then, simulation of the morping wing structure is finished using a finite element analytical software ANSYS in order to validate the rationality and the reliability of the morping structure. Finally, designing the experiment based on DSP measurement and control system to accomplish the controlling experiment of the morphing wing.The results show that the degree of accuracy of the controlling is high, the precise controlling of the morphing is realized.
