CFD has been widely used in the field of designing aeroengine. The main problem is that the pre-process of the modeling and grid generation often takes up a lot of time, so developing effective and quick CFD pre-processor is the key to solve this problem.? This paper has developed a CFD pre-process tool mainly aims at aeroengine combustor, including 3d modeling and data conversion programs.The structure of the components of the combustion chamber has lots of similar parametric features which have inheritance and continuity, and the use of parametric design can make full use of existing resources and improve the design efficiency during the design process. The parametric design program is using Visual c + + in Windows platform development and the OpenGL as a development tool to complete the settings of graphics, rendering, light and environment, and using the scripting to control the model structure. Aiming at a type of combustor, and choosing the key structure size which has a important impact on combustion performance as parameters after analyzing the structure characteristics, the head of combustor was modeled and meshed, and using Fluent to analyze and compare the differences. And the modeling software had also been used in the design of flameholder and built several different structure flameholders. By this way, the design of combustor would been more efficiency and the development cycle can also been reduced, In addition, a data conversion program basing on UG / Open GRIP language was developed, which is able to change and share date between this parametric design software and other CAD software (UG).Depending on practical experience on, this paper has developed a friendly man-machine interface parametric design system of components of combustor, which has improved the design efficiency and shorten the combustor design cycle. The mind of parametric design is correct and has realistic meanings in solving engineering problems. The parametric design system will be able to design more aeroengine components by further development and thus it has wide application prospects.
