Since traditional air-conditioning existing major energy consumption, how to reduce itsenergy consumption is the focus of the study. And energy source of traditionalair-conditioning is based on primary energy, it will be produced large amounts of CO2 andother pollutant emissions when using the primary energy, thus aggravating the environmentalpollution. As solar energy has advantages like no pollution and zero emission etc., solarenergy attained more and more attentions in energy saving designing. Thus how to reducingenergy consume in air-conditioning and appropriate use of solar and other new energy toachieve the object of energy saving is the problem which HVAC industry must faced.In this paper, a new type of air conditioning systems is designed in connection with thehigher energy consumption and the need to issue a reasonable reduction about traditionalair-conditioning, using solar desiccant to dehumidify in radiant heating/cooling floor. Theindoor temperature regulation is using by radiant floor to meet the load of indoortemperature, and indoor humidity regulation is using by solar desiccant wheel to meet theload of humidity. This separate ways to treat the heat and moisture can reduce energyconsume, while running optimal operation through the four seasons to achieve the purpose ofenergy saving system.A set of air-conditioning system is designed and constructed of the Arts Centre inNanhui district, at the same time the potential of energy saving of the system is analyzed.The various energy-saving factors on using radiant heating/cooling floor is analyzed,simulation about indoor temperature and indoor wind speed when using radiant floor ismode, and then some experiments are tested and verifed about the indoor comfort duringradiant cooling, the value of energy saving under comfort.According to the shortcomings of the united heat and moisture treatment of thetraditional air-conditioning, the advantages of separate ways to treat the heat and moistureare described. solar energy desiccant wheel to dehumidification equipment is choosen in thissystem. and dehumidification methods are described.The value of solar radiation and indoor dehumidification load on the Shanghai area arecalculated, the distribution solar radiation and indoor dehumidification load of the year areanalyzed, and the mode theoretical analysis of the energy and load matching are discussed.The energy saving features about total heat exchanger are described, a the same time, the value of energy saving about each month and the total annual energy saving by usingtotal heat exchanger are calulated.
