The rapid development of dry mortar industry will also promote the development of dry mortar mixer. However, the structural parameters and work performance of the dry mortal mixer in our country is not perfect, and can not achieve the purpose of uniformly mixed in a short time. A 2 cubic meters of dry mortar mixer was designed in this paper based on the current mixer. Through theoretical analysis of the mixing parameters, and choosing the best parameters to match it, using ANSYS software to do the finite element analysis for the important parts of the mixer at last.In this paper, it was carried on that an analytical research for the selection of the main parameters which consist of the alignment of mixing arms, the fixing angle of mixing blades, the length-width ratio of mixing tube and the rotating speed of the mixer by the method of numerical simulation, theoretical analysis and experimental research. Though summarizing, it gives the main parameters of the double-horizontal-shaft mixer, it also gives the standards which can evaluate whether the mixer parameters are reasonable or not, and the basic principles of the arm alignment.On the base of the above theoretical analysis, it completed the design of major components of the dry mortar mixer, including the design of mixing blades, the mixing tube, the mixing arm in this paper, and completed the parameters design of the components by UG software, and draw out the three-dimensional model map, and completed the assembly modeling.Finally, it made finite element analysis for mixing process in ANSYS software. it can be shown from the mixing blade finite element analysis that the non-uniform stress distribution of the mixing blade, maximum stress and minimum stress difference of several orders of magnitude, the largest force leaves in the middle department of the mixing blade, so in order to use the mixing blade in the actual working conditions to meet request and to avoid waste of materials, adopt the zero-order optimization method to optimize thickness size of the mixing blade, it provide a basis for the rational design of mixing blades.This research work make the depth discussion for the mixing technology, and the rasearch achievements has important significance for the development dry mortar mixer in the future.
