Development of energy conservation, the utilization of waste, the environmentally friendly green wall materials is one of the goals of building materials industry in new century. The massive rock chips of the crushed stone processing factories will not only occupy the space, but also pollute the environment. In this experiment, the MU15.0 rock chips concrete small hollow block has good economic, social and environmental benefits.The nature of rock chips has a great effect on the performance of concrete, such as anomalous appearance, big mechanical linking strength, and the ration stone power which particle size following 0.15mm. The article main research content is the effect of sand ratio, the proportion of rock chips instead of sand on concrete aggregate gradation of small hollow block, and use fractal theory to discuss the relationship between aggregate gradation and the compressive strength of concrete. Fixed water ratio, sand ratio and the proportion of rock chips instead of sand, research the effect of stone powder content on the performance rock chips concrete. With the method of orthogonal test, the optimal mix proportion ratio of rock chips concrete of small hollow block is designed and determined by variance analysis and other research means. Meanwhile, the effect of the different curing conditions on small hollow block is studied.The research shows that rock chips concrete aggregate gradations are similar with that of the natural river sand, with sand ratio increases, the gradation curve is between the areasâ… andâ…ˇ. There are some limitations between rock chips concrete aggregate gradations of small hollow block and the compressive strength of concrete, but in the case of smaller sand ratio, larger proportion of rock chips instead of sand, reasonable. When fractal dimension is between 2.01 and 2.07, the compressive strength of rock chips concrete is much higher. The stone power content between 5% and 10% can improve the workability, the drying shrinkage, the compressive strength, impermeability and frost resistance of rock chips concrete. Changing curing condition can improve the performance of small hollow block most significantly.
