Research And Appliacation Of Power System On-line Dynamic Security Analysis System

Dynamic Security Analysis is a significant researchful method to ensure the reliable operation of power system and prevent the damage of outage. With the enlargement of power system's scope and the abundance of electric components, the dynamic characteristic of networks becomes more complicated. So the security caused by transient stability gets more and more severity. This paper studies and develops the theory and the software of On-line Dynamic Security Analysis which has already been applied to power system engineering.First of all, the approach of automatically analyzing the data from EMS system is discussed and then the topology simplification of grid is described systematically in order to reduce the size of the power system and improve the speed of calculation. Meanwhile, the equivalence of the outer networks, including modeling and solution, is given in detail which makes the simulation get more accurately because the influence of outer networks is considered.Subsequently, Distributing Calculating is introduced to promote the speed of transient simulation. In view of the application of the hardware and software, especially the MPI technology, distributing calculation is programmed to dispatch and assign the task according the faults list for every leaf node to execute. Obviously, the transient simulation time is cut down greatly.In addition, the strategy of designing the Database Management System is proposed in the light of the working principle of Dynamic Security Analysis, which is in charge of the data combination, modification and storage. Schemes involved the underlying technology to optimize database have obtain outstanding benefits. Finally, the communication between web server and client based on Linux OS TCP/IP programming is fulfilled. Thus, a novel function derives from basic Dynamic Security Analysis, called"Dispatching Analysis for Operator", which greatly relieves the burden in the computation of operation mode.On-line Dynamic Security Analysis System works steadily, operates quickly and calculates accurately. What is more important is that it has been tested in Power System engineering and the prospect of more application is expanded.
