In recent years, with rapid development of our country's automobile industry, cars have been used more and more widely in residents'life, but the car also brought environmental pollution problems, that caused widespread attention. In order to improve our environment for reducing the environmental pollution problem which brought by the number of cars increasing, each country begins to issue and implement more emission regulations, to regulate the motor vehicle industry's order. Liminate the production of vehicle which doesn't meet the standard, as to reduce the pollution of the environment.In the year of 2005 our country has promulgated the new emission regulations of GB17691-2005, the regulations for automotive compression ignition, fuel gas ignition engine and automobile gas pollutant limits and methods of measurement. The European Transient Cycle is for the engine transient emission measurement in the evaluation standard, GB requirements must be under transient test bench, this is also the source of the subject: Based on emission regulations of GB17691-2005, developed a set of engine can achieve transient performance measurement and test system, to meet the strict emission regulations.At present engine transient test system's research and development is still at the start stage, while abroad have a very advanced engine transient test-bed, and good comprehensive properties, but its cost so much. So development a low cost transient test system, has an important engineering significance and application value. Based on this consideration, the paper devoted to the development of a set, to realize ETC test loop transient dynamometer, in order to make up for our country in the transient dynamometer deficiencies. In this paper, the main work as follows:1, detailed analysis and Research on GB17691-2005 ETC test cycle description.2, establishment of AC electrical dynamometer mathematical model, and understand the control method.3, build test bench, and analysis the feasibility.4, design the transient system control algorithm, and test validation. In the constant test process, test system and control algorithm, modified and obtain the ideal results, but the test system has many shortcomings, this paper also put forward the new view of these, to complete the study work.
