Research On The Traditional Settlement Of Lhasa

People who live in the snow-covered plateau of the Tibetan had produced a brilliant culture, and a lso ha ve c reated t heir ow n e xcellent a rchitecture. With t he uni que use of construction material a nd special b uilding-way of traditional hous es, Tibetan comes i nto be ing one of the special styles in the world. At the same time, the Tibetan tradition buildings were rooted in the Tibetan tradition of residential settlements. Traditional villages have a strong ethnic characteristics and geographical features due to the effect of traditional settlements in Lhasa with deep national features and characteristics. Researching on the settlement culture system has an important significance.Based on e xisting situation of the cijiaolin village and religious factors in the settlement patterns, this article have taken the cijiaolin village which located in Lhasa city as a study example to explore the regional characteristics of traditional settlements in Lhasa. Paper starts from three levels: first, by describing the natural environment and cultural background of the cijiaolin village, paper h ave s ummarized th e c haracteristics o f s ite s election, s patial la yout a nd b uildings; th e influence elements of residential settlements including the element of Tibetan Buddhism were analysis de eply i n t he s econd l evel; a t l ast, t he pr oblems e xisted i n popul ation environment, tourism development and overall style of the whole village have been explored. The paper have tried to explore some development strategies in the process of protecting traditional residential settlements, in order to help designers make scientific decision; at the same time, to enhance and improve t he l iving c onditions of l ocal r esidents, s o a s t o pr omote t he t raditional l ocal-style dwelling houses better. The final purpose of this article is to enable the traditional settlements to sustainable development and survival.
