A Study On Plants Landscape Of Constructed Wetlands In Northern Area

Wetland is a natural gift. It's a communication bridge between terrestrial environment and the world of water. It can also rehabilitate and recuperate water sources. As important components of wetlands, a variety of artificial wetlands are not only conducive to urban ecological restoration and landscape construction, but can also enhance people's attention and the love of nature. It sets aside the inherent mode of thinking which is human-centered, emphasizing the designing concept of all living coexistence. More and more people understand that we should pay more attention to nature, respect for it and set a balance between human and nature.In today's society rapid economic development has led to the result that the ecological environment was rapidly getting worse. So how to find a balance point between the ecological protection and the use of natural resources is important to all of us. The design of artificial wetlands which have particular functions is an effective solution. The purpose of this thesis is carrying out a thorough study of the function of artificial wetlands through the research of wetland plants.First of all, this paper summarized and illustrated the related knowledge of wetlands. According to the traditional types of wetlands, the thesis creatively combined artificial wetlands with the origins, characteristics and plant communities, and re-classified artificial wetlands into three types: urban landscape mode, sewage treatment mode and ecological agriculture mode. The paper further explored the similarities and differences among artificial wetlands, natural wetlands and city parks and then analyzed the significance and construction principles of artificial wetlands.As the heart of artificial wetlands, wetland plants of the North region are taken as the focus of this thesis. Firstly, using the method of comparison, the research put damp tolerant plants into wetland plants and classified the wetlands plants. Secondly, to seize every unique shape and aesthetic taste of plants the research used the form of photograph and drawing. Combining with the ecological and aesthetic aspects of landscape, the research grasped the changing states of plants. At last according to the actual design project this thesis deeply discussed landscape principles, design methods and procedures of different kinds of plant.
