With the rapid development of economy and more and more requirements on long span and space structures. The application of nodes connected with different cross section shapes are more and more widely, because of the advantages of reasonable force, ease of application, novelty and beautiful forms of joins and so on, the rectangular and circular penetration steel tube use widely. The institute of this joins starts late in our country. Also the institute of ultimate bearing capacity of this joins is not full. The code for design of steel structures in our country about the ultimate bearing capacity design formulas of K joins in rectangular and circular penetration is very simple. So it restricts the development of the K joins.This article institute from the three joins experiments of T3 airport extension project. This article use finite element analysis software ABAQUS to numerical simulation the three joins experiments. Comparing and analyzing the experiments results with the numerical simulation results. The result manifest that the finite element model can analog the mechanical property of rectangular and circular penetration joins exactly.Modify the finite element model on request, institute the law about the ultimate bearing capacity under the different changes of different parameters of the K joins. Then use the regression software MATLAB to regress the function form about the law from the ultimate bearing capacity to single parameter. According to the law, then using the comprehensive optimization software 1st0pt regress the ultimate bearing capacity functions about two types of the K joins of rectangular and circular penetration.The code about K joins of rectangular and circular penetration is developed from the circular join. While, in this article institute the parameters and numerical simulation are all about the rectangular and circular penetration directly, to regress the ultimate bearing capacity functions. Comparing the results of regress functions and the code functions, the results of the code is too small to safe about K gap joins of rectangular and circular penetration. The code about the rectangular and circular penetration overlap joint k joins is not overall. In this article it discussed many different parameters of the overlap joint K joins. Also the definition of the regress function is more overall. This article make contribution to the institute of ultimate bearing capacity on K joins. Enrich the parameters institute of rectangular and circular penetration overlap joint K joins; fulfill the research on ultimate bearing capacity about rectangular and circular penetration joint K joins.
