In recent years, the world earthquakes occured frequently and caused great damage to property and personnel. Especially, from Wenchuan earthquake, we witnessed casualties and houses destroyed and collapsed, which make us more profound understanding of the importance and urgency of seismic performance study. At present, our country is developing high-rise steel structure, especially high-rise residential steel structure. Steel frame of composite beams is formed by the combination of multilayer residence steel structure, which is comparative economic structure and is widely used in earthquake zones.So it is quite necessary to understand its seismic performance.But at present, the study of steel frame of composite beams is lagging on the research work of structure system; and lack of deep research about structure dynamic properties. In this context, this paper will research the seismic performance of the steel-concrete composite structure. The main work is as follows:(1) Based on the feasibility verification about using the finite element analysis program of ABAQUS software to research continuous composite beams and steel frame of composite beams, the model of multi-bay-span steel-concrete frame of composite beams structure builded. By selecting the appropriate seismic waves to make elastic-plastic time history analysis, we determined the time history variation of structural displacement, velocity and acceleration. So, we identified the yield mechanism of the structure, and damage type. Studies have shown that the steel-concrete frame of composite beams structure have good seismic performance, which can widely used in earthquake zone. And through changing the parameters in the model: effective width of concrete flange, thickness and reinforcement ratio to determine the influence of seismic performance.(2)Establish the same stiffness model of steel frame of composite beams and steel frame structure under equivalent stiffness principle. Evaluate seismic performance advantage of steel frame of composite beams structure through the comparison of seismic performance of the two kinds of structures. Based on the failure criterion of Park-Ang model, through the theoretical analysis and numerical calculation method, explore the evaluation method of steel frame of composite beams structure seismic performance.
