With the rapid development of economy, construction of highway in our country has been in high speed development stage. Year by year, the mileage of highway that new set up, rectified and extend increased rapidly. As many major projects to start , the problem of materials shortage is becoming more and more seriously and shortage of high quality stone which is most prominent. For the highway construction, stone is one of the most important materials as the road base. A large number of stone mining would not only damage the ecological environment of mountains, and the cost of transportation will lead to a sharp increase of the total cost. Therefore, how to use the local materials as the road base is a serious problem which the builders must to face.The paper takes the subject named study on the soil stabilizer of Hebei Province as the basis, using TG-2 Soil stabilizer to reinforce the sandy soil in Zhangjiakou. In order to research the base course performance of the solidified soil, take the cement-stabilized soil and cement-stabilized soil with stone as the comparative test. The orthogonal test of stabilized soil gives the optimal mix of the base materials, and the range analysis was also to be used to analysis the test results. We also take the test conditions, compaction and curing age as the influencing factors on the strength of stabilized soil. The other performance such as shrinkage, water stability was carried out.On the base of the road properties analysis and economical efficiency analysis, considered that taking TG-2 stabilizer stabilizing soil as the road base material is feasible. The application of the solidified agent stabilizing soil could improve the quality of base, and reduce the construction cost and the damage of the environment.
