With the speeding up of railway by a large scale and the application of high speed EMUs, the constraint situation of the railway's transport capacity has been relieved by certain degreee. But the rapid development of economic has made more urgent requirement, such as high speed, over load. However, there is a big gap between the core device in the locomotive-traction converter and the advanced world level in the aspects of design, manufacturing and transmission control. The article bases on the development project of 2×1200kW power traction converter, mainly focus on the core transmission control technology.Based on the control platform, of which DSP + FPGA chips serves as the core, the article mainly focus on the PWM modulation, the control of off-line and passing phase separation, the adhesion control and other control technologies.Based on the dscription of the main circuit of traction converter and the DSP + FPGA control platform, firstly, the article put forward a strategy of sub-synchronous PWM modulation: asychronous SPWM while low frequency, sub-sychronous harmonic elimination modulation SHEPWM while high frequency. The strategy has achieving PWM modulation with very low switching frequency,eliminating some specific low-order harmonics of the stator side,reducing the torque pipple of the traction motor.And then analysised the off-line and passing phase separation, especily the impact on the motor's reclosing of the sator's residual voltage when power-off, subsequently, proposed the overall control strategy. Finally, the artilce made a simulation based on Matlab / Simulink, the simulation results consistent with theoretical analysis, successfully removed the surging phenomena of motor current and torque .At last, described the adhesion concept, proposed the control target of adhesion control system. For the control target, the article described in detail the criteria of anti-slip and the current adhesion control strategies. Then proposed the adhesion control strategy of the article and analysised the simulation results.The article's control strategies have been verified by experiments, in addition to the adhesion control strategy due to no suitable experiment conditions.
