Research On Traditional Construction Techniques And Inheritance Of Northern Hainan

The history and culture of northern Hainan is even richer than other regions of Hainan Island. Four thousand years ago, there has activities of human multiplying and living, archaeologists think it is the ancestor of the Li Minority. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, large numbers of Chinese migrate to the Wenchang, Qionghai and other areas within the northern Hainan island. Immigrants brought not only their living habits and customs, but also brought building and construction techniques of central plains. And with characteristics of local materials and construction techniques of northern Hainan island, it generated traditional residence system of northern Hainan island. After the modern architecture research group's deep investigation in Hainan by Huazhong University of Science and Technology cooperate with the Construction Department of Hainan, the team continue to hackle the typical form of traditional residence in northern Hainan island and the feature of various construction techniques. This text combines of issue on research and technology excavation, and demonstrates its proper appearance at traditional residence construction techniques in northern Hainan.This text takes traditional residence construction techniques in northern Hainan as research object. On one hand, it unscrambles the relationship between art skill and architecture from technical framework, on the other hand, it analyzes the reasons behind that supporting the folk culture. With a large number of research and interviews, the text conducts a detailed logging, analysis and comparative study for traditional residence construction techniques in northern Hainan, which provides more technical support for modern architecture research in the future.This text includes six chapters. The chapter six is based on the text above, summarized the art skills fit for northern Hainan, and the necessity of transmission and innovation.The research value of the traditional residence in northern Hainan is multiple. The significance of excavation is more obvious, especially in the background of international tourism island development. The author wants to publicize traditional residence in northern Hainan Island and its art skills, at the same time, raise concerns, conservation and heritage awareness of traditional residence in northern Hainan Island, and continue to take the intangible assets to be well maintained.
