Earthquakes break out frequently in our country. Industrial plants occupied the most asset of our country in the structure forms, Unfortunately, these part of plants often suffered devastation in serious earthquakes such as occurred in Tangshan and Wenchuan previous, and brought us incalculable casualties and economic losses. Recently , in order to make disaster prevention and reduction work more effective, more and more people concerned on consciously evaluation and prediction of building's performance in earthquakes.Firstly, This paper summarizes the existing seismic damage prediction methods of industrial plants, and completes seismic damage prediction about 12 single industrial plants in Wuhan using existing methods. However, the existing damage prediction methods still remain in the semi-empirical and semi-theoretical such as statistical method and so on. In this paper, a new method for earthquake damage prediction is proposed --- The method for seismic damage prediction based on displacement angle of single industrial plants. Based on the new method, this paper completes the seismic damage prediction process evaluation about single,multi-span or single-span brick columns and reinforced concrete columns, analysis seismic damage prediction about 12 single industrial plants in Wuhan. And then comparing the new results to original results, verify that the method is feasible. In addition, existing seismic damage prediction methods can not solve the problem of earthquake damage prediction for steel plants, this paper propose the view of seismic damage prediction based on displacement angle of single steel plants, through finite element analysis using software SAP2000 and establishes simulation model of a outdoor sports centre in Wuhan, and then discuss the seismic damage prediction results about the building.Secondly, About multi-Frame and bent industrial plants, this paper apply the method of U.S. HAZUS99, taking a thermal power plant in Wuhan for example, completes plants seismic damage prediction assessment, gets the capacity spectrum curve and demand spectrum curve establishing simulation model using software SAP2000, gets the vulnerability curves about multi- Frame and bent plants through using software MATLAB, and then obtains vulnerability matrix by analyzing the results before.Finally, a seismic damage assessment system about industrial plants is established in this paper. using the principle of Hamming distance, complete the evaluation transition from the single plant to group plants, make the corresponding evaluation methods can be applied to the actual seismic damage evaluation of a large number of building .
