In the past, people usually ignore the ecological factors. Human pursue to the self-interest maximization. They ask for the water resource blindly and never realize the destruction for the river ecosystem.The construction of reservoirs has brought huge economic benefits for human in flood control and power generation. Because the frequent flooding of the Yangtze River, the reservoir scheduling relieves the threat of flood to humans'life and property. However, the reservoir constructions also bring about the destruction of the ecological environment. As progresses of the society, more and more people realize the importance and scholar into the restoration of the ecological stability. Then ecology scheduling must be implemented in order to achieve the sustainable use of water resources. In order to rehabilitate and avoid the destruction of ecological environment, the main achievements are as follows:(1)Related literature materials have been read. Historical flow were collected and analyzed.(2)Basic concepts of river ecosystem, the part of ecosystem and the service of ecosystem are expounded. And two disturbances have been described: the disturbance of river hydrology and organism in the river. The basic idea for Ecology Scheduling of Reservoirs is proposed based on research of ecological water requirement.(3)The basic principles of ecology scheduling of reservoirs have been defined. The interests of human society and ecological indicators must be satisfied at the same time. We need bring the ecological indicators into the ecological scheduling models.(4) According to the characteristics of ecological water requirement, all kinds of water requirements are calculated. The concept of the suitable water requirement, the maximum water requirement and the minimum water requirement has been proposed in this paper.(5)By means of ecological models and the calculated data, ecology scheduling of the Three Gorges will be implemented. A six-reservoir system consisting of reservoirs downstream Jinsha River, the Three Gorges adding Gezhouba also implements the ecology scheduling for comparison.
