There has been a widely development in the application of renewable energy sources with the increasing of environmental pressure. And the development of wind power has rapidly progressed over the last decade. But the wind farm outputs unstable power because of the fluctuation of the wind. With the growth of the installed power of wind energy plants,it takes more adverse effects to the power system. SMES responses speedly and can control the output of active power and reactive power independently. It will improves the stability of wind farm and overcome the harmness caused by the wind fluctuation. Battery has large capacity and low price. It has the ability to improve the reliability of the power system caused by the wind intermittence.Firstly, this paper studies the problems of wind power integration into electricity system and the application status of the energy storage module in wind power and analyse the effects of the energy storage module to enhance the wind power supply reliability and operation stability. Then, we build the mathematical model of SMES and Battery and find the best battery capacity by GA.Finally, we build the model of wind power system in the Matlab platform, simulite and analysis the effects of SMES to inhibit wind fluctuation and enhance the transient stability of the wind form. Then we optimize and design the capacity of Battery by Matlab Gatool, check the simulation results of the battery to the improvement of power supply reliability and economic benefits in wind power system.
