The automated and precision measurement of the athletic target in large-scale space is an important direction of development. the measurement range of measurement system can cover the whole moving space of targets and achieve the function of real time tracking measurement. In the mean time, it requires that a large amount of dense points could be measured for key components. However, the conventional method for large-scale measurement cannot achieve high accuracy, automation, and intelligence, so it is necessary to build a new automatic measurement system based on tracking objects.This thesis provides a design strategy for electronic laser theodolite automatic measuring system based on visual tracking theories, builds a plan for the automatic measurement system of electrical laser theodolite based on vision tracking theories,and focuses on the technical problems such as tracking athletic objects, the automatic guiding of theodolite and automatic collimation measurement of label points. The experiment shows that the measurement method mentioned in this has high accuracy and efficiency project for tracking athletic target and measuring situations for space points. The main contents of this thesis are shown as following:1. Design the control circuit for camera lens; researches on the definition evaluate function and control tactics for automatic variable focal length arithmetic; achieved functions of automatic focus and variable focal length controlling.2. Researches on theories and methods for tracking objects; achieved functions of 3-D directions tracking for single object with anomalous shape; more researches on theories and simulations of multi objects tracking in the environment with dense mixed waves.3. Researches on marking methods of the distance between camera and several theodolites; mentioned a model for leading theodolite with the use of camera cursorily; mentioned a method for automatic collimation measurement of theodolites to objects.4. Analyzed extract accuracy of laser points and diagnostic points and the effect for measurement accuracy with camera distortions; Analyzed uncertainty for automatic collimation method; built model for tracking system; made comments on the effect of factors for tracking system properties.5. Built experiment equipments, tested the automatic collimation measurement processes for tracking objects, cursory leading for camera to theodolites, and automatic aiming measurement processes...
