Advanced Static VAR Generator(ASVG), as one of the important controllers in Flexible AC Transmission System(FACTS), has a large number of application examples in the power system at home and abroad. However, the inverter device is constainted by its own capacity, so that ASVG power system capacity can not meet the requirements of high-voltage, high power occasion. Therefore, the connection of several lower-level inverter elements may significantly improve the voltage-resistant level of the equipments. At that time, there will be the phenomena of uneven distribution of the voltage of each inverter, which leads to the damage to the device. By the analysis of the causes of the uneven voltage distribution in the process of inverter element connection, this thesis designs a kind of equalizing circuit in order to increase the ASVG voltage and capacity.Firstly, this thesis gives a brief analysis of the ASVG works. On this basis, the thesis establishes the steady model of ASVG main circuit and elaborates instantaneous reactive power theory and its application in ASVG, all of which has laid a solid foundation for the next control and simulation of ASVG.Secondly, from static and dynamic perspectives, the thesis analyzes IGBT series share-voltage technology. The thesis designs the static and dynamic share-voltage circuit and illustrates the design principles on the relevant parameters. Finish the simulation experiments analysis. Analysis results show that the proposed ASVG share-voltage circuit can effectively suppress the uneven voltage distribution in the course of series IGBT.The thesis researches two common methods of ASVG control by the contrast to the control form of indirect current control. Finally, the thesis adopts the direct control current and carries out MATLAB simulation. The results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and control strategy.Finally, the thesis designs the hardware circuit and software system. Select the related components and their parameters. Through a large number of experiments to further verify the correctness of the proposed scheme.
