The dissertation first introduces the necessity of leading phase operation of large-scale synchronous generator; also introduces the research general situation and the important significance on leading phase operation of domestic and foreign.Secondly, the dissertation is based on generator leading phase operation, narrates and brief introduces the basic principle and influence factors of generator leading phase operation. In addition, the dissertation analyses and summarize the static stability of generator leading phase operation with automatic excitation regulator device or not, and receives the capacity boundary curve expression of the static stability limits power angle and active power, reactive power under different situation.Finally, through Matlab/Simulink software simulates the conversion process of generator from late phase operation state to leading phase operation state, generator leading phase depth and the short circuit fault of generator leading phase operation. The change of excitation current, reactive power and end voltage of generation are received from the simulation of two state conversion processes; in the leading phase depth simulation, the change rule of related parameters and the limits stable value of excitation current amplitude, limits power angle, end voltage etc are analyzed by the simulation results under the deepening process of leading phase depth. Under the short circuit fault simulation, single phase and three phases short circuit grounding fault are simulation respectively analyzed under different resections, the limits resections of different short circuit fault are received, the change situation of different parameters are analyzed on simulation results from the short circuit fault of leading phase operation. And the relationship between generator leading phase operation and loss of excitation protection are brief introduced in the dissertation. The contents of the dissertation are full of theoretical simulation analysis, for example, under the simulation analysis of the leading phase depth, the simulation results are received without considering auxiliary power voltage, so full of the simulation results theoretically could reach a limit value.
