Pipe connection methods depend on many aspects, such as the material properties, usage, and performance of the pipeline. This dissertation describes a pipe press-fitting connection method which is simple and needs no special treatment of pipe ends before connection. After loading the press-fitting connector with the press tool, the generated elastic-plastic deformation of the press-fitting connector is used to fill the gaps in the sealing surface, and then the pipes are connected and pressurized. Thus, the aim of this dissertation is to research the key technologies of a pipe press-fitting connection method and design a pipe press-fitting connection system, which originates from the project-"non-welded pipe connection technology". Following the completion of thesis work:In this dissertation, the lucubration of the pipe press-fitting connection at home and abroad is firstly introduced, and then the seal theory and connecting mechanism are analyzed. After that, according to the design requirements, the pipe press-fitting connection system is designed.On the above bases, the stability of the connector and the connecting force is analyzed, and after simulating the whole connecting process, the effectiveness of various factors, such as the form of Sealing ring and elastic compression modulus, that influence the stress and strain of the connector is described. Meanwhile, using ANSYS the main influence factors of the connection quality are pointed out by analyzing the simulation results of it. The main factors affect the sealing performance is pointed out in the dissertation, and then the design process of press-fitting connector is completed.The structure of press tool is designed and main parts are analyzed. Then using three-dimensional simulation software the simulation analysis of the motion process is used to ensure that the performances of the press tool meet the requirements. Later, the hydraulic system of press tool is designed, and then the hydraulic components is designed and selected.The results of the assembly test and the seal performance test are discussed in the dissertation, and the test results were compared with finite element analysis. And the results demonstrate the rationality of the designed press-fitting connection, the effective results of the simulation and the absence of leaks.
