The dual clutch transmission is becoming a new favorite gradually by virtue of its smooth when shifting gears and its fuel economy. The assembly technology is an essential step during the researching and development of the dual clutch transmission. Press-mounting Process is an important process of the transmission assembly, it makes a directly effect on the quality of transmission assembly, and then affects the performance of the transmission.At first, the paper introduces the research status of press-mounting process in the domestic and overseas, and the working principles, system compositions of the dual clutch transmission.Secondly, aiming at the press-mounting process of the bearing outer ring in a dual clutch transmission housing assembly, introduces the theoretical analysis of press-mounting mechanics and the theoretical basis of finite element analysis, which can provide a theoretical guidance for finite element simulation of the press-mounting process.According to theoretical analysis, conducts the finite element simulation on the press-mounting process of the transmission housing assembly, draws a press-mounting curve, and analyzes the components’stress and strain during the process of press-mounting. By means of simulation analysis, studies the effects on press-mounting curve by changing different technical parameters. It provides references for press-mounting process optimization and the designing of press-mounting equipment.Finally, conducts a motor servo press-mounting test. Through the comparison between test’s results and simulation’s, the availability of finite element simulation analysis on press-mounting process of bearing outer ring in transmission housing assembly is verified, and the influence degree on press-mounting force which caused by different press-mounting parameters is acknowledged. It provides references for monitoring the press-mounting curve and product designing.
