The target of this paper is to get a high seakeeping stealthy deep-V hybrid-monohull, and keep the excellent resistance performence. At first the hybrid-monohull was designed on the basis of a four thousand tons classic round bilge monohull, reference to the DDX stealthy ship form of U.S.A, based on the stabilizing built-up appendage and stern flap and character of deep-v hull lines, many kinds of high seakeeping stealthy deep-V hybrid-monohull were designed and also many different kinds of built-up appendage and the stern flap. Applied in CFD software Fluent, we calculate the resistance of all kinds of the hybrid monohull, and picked the two small resistance deep-V hybrid-monohull(not including fin and stern flap). Each deep-V main hull had three built-up appendage. All the former projects would be done the model experiment that the proportion is 1:40.The model experimental results showed that the different built-up appendage had big effects in resistance and seakeeping performance. The resistance experiment showed that the resistance of deep-V hybrid-monohull was larger than the round bilge hullform in the low velocity, and was smaller in the high velocity. And the seakeeping performance was improved. From the former projects we picked the smallest resistant hull form and did the regular wave and the irregularwave experiments. The experiment results showed that the designed high seakeeping deep-V hybrid-monohull had good longitudinal motion effects. The ship can sail in waves stably with high speed.In this paper, the technology of the built-up longitudinal stabilizing appendage was extended to the ten thousands tons classic ship. Three kinds of high seakeeping stealthy deep-V hybrid-monohull were designed. Applied in CFD software Fluent, the resistance of all kinds of hybrid monohull was calculated, and we would provide preference about extending the technology of the built-up longitudinal stabilizing appendage to the ten thousands classic ship.
