With the development of the power system, the promotion of the power consumption, the interconnection of the power system, the short circuit current level of the power system increase all the time. Due to the high reliability of the power system, the high voltage switch new products have to be tested before using, and the cut-off performance have to be checked and take the identification. The high voltage synthetic loop test system is a useful tester for testing the breaking capacity of the high voltage switch. It can well reflect the breaking capacity of the high voltage switch. Now, many of the institutions of higher learning laboratory synthetic loop test system are optimized all the time. The traditional synthetic loop test systems are adopted the bang-bang control method, these control systems take more room, and be maintained and adjusted are more difficult. The reliability needs to be improved.The article mainly introduces the synthetic loop test system based on Labview and plc. It is an intelligent research on the traditional high voltage synthetic loop test system. First of all, the basic operating principle of the synthetic loop test system and the main factors are analyzed and introduced. Meanwhile, the hardware circuit of the synthetic loop test system is detailed described, and their operating principles are introduced.The main work of the article is the building of the control system based on the Labview and PLC. Using the serial communication RS-232 interfacing and freedom communication protocol, the PC and hardware control system can communicate between each other, and achieving the goal that the PC can transmit the control command to PLC and the PLC can transmit the detection message to PC. The viewing area, the serial communication configuration area, the command control area, and the alarm area on the PC platform are introduced in detail in the article. At the same time, the software designing of the PLC functional modules are introduced, and included the main routine and every functional module's subroutine.According to the test analysis about the operating platform based on Labview and the experiment of the vacuum circuit breaker, and the analysis of the test result, the synthetic loop test system based on Labview and PLC can reduce the response error of the test system, and provide the operator a well intelligent and visual control platform.
