Chinese Traditional Architectural Plane Of "亞" Grave Font Schema Research

As a significant part of the world's architecture system,the traditional Chinese architecture is a form of art which well deserves our intensive research and study.Like the dragon totem,the character"亞"as a graphical design enjoys a equally long history and demonstrates a great cultural value on traditional Chinese architecture.Originated from the Stone Age,"亞"resembles a structure of a palace ,where a solemn ceremonial thanksgiving sacrifice was offered to heaven and to the ancestors.Some other scholars view that "亞" is the plane layout or the plan view of siheyuan,a traditional Chinese quadrangle,and that it is applied in residents' coutyard design in the following dynastues.Therefore "亞"could be regarded as the hieroglyph of architectures in its original meaning on the oracle bones,as well as a design of a kind of special palace for offering sacrifice,or the shape and structure of coutyards.Such a graphical design reflects ancient Chinese people's unique world view and mode of thinking,which ,in addition, is vividly showed in the relationship between "亞" and chinese etiquettes ,and between the changes of "亞" and the reforms of ancient Chinese society,representing the distinctive features of Chinese culture.In this thesis, the author records,organizes and analizes some archaeological materials and documents,and makes the best efforts to carry out the research of "亞"architecture in different aspects,say,the shape and structure of plane design,the style of architecture,the aesthetics of architecture and the cultural meaning of it.Throughout the research,it can be found that the character"亞",as a graphical design, is widely applied in traditional Chinese architecture.As the research goes further and deeper,the author finds that it helps to gain a better appreciation and a wider horizon of studying the culture of Chinese architecture.We shall see things in different perspectives and think in different modes,and try to practice more in morden architecture designing with a mature understanding of traditional buildings'cultural meanings and features.Thus we will creat more architectual masterpieces with ou national characteristics.In this approach a rather practical step is made towards the advancement of Chinese architecture.
