Arch bridge has a long history, but has larger horizontal thrust at the arch springer as the traditional one, it just could be built in the good geological conditions. To build arch bridge in soft soil foundation, the requirement of foundation should be reduced firstly and tied-arch bridge is developed. Tied-arch bridge is one kind of bridges and is developed fast in recent years for its plentiful structure, beautiful modeling and higher economic and technical indexes. Although tied-arch bridge is a mature structure, each bridge has its own characteristics for such complex structures. Based on Dali river bridge, this paper studies the structure of it.The origin and development of the bridge and the applications of tied-arch bridge at home firstly introduced in this paper. The tied-arch bridge is classified from some aspects and the characteristics of it is described briefly.Through the study of Dali river bridge, the main research contents of the paper is presented.The relevant seismatic documents of domestic and foreign bridges are analyzed, summarized and concluded and the results can be used as theoretical basis. Dali river bridge is modeled with the finite element software Midas and Ansys and the shear lag effect of girder is calculated. According to the theoretical basis of dynamic characteristics, the vibration character of Dali river bridge is analyzed, its dynamic characteristic is calculated and the results are analyzed and summarized.According to the theory of response spectrum and time-procedure analysis, the response spectrum calculated by adopting railway standard specifications is used as incoming spectrum curve, the spectrum analysis on upper structure of bridge is made and internal force and displacement of each key section are analyzed and compared. The response of tied-arch bridge under earthquake acceleration spectrum is analyzed and the structure of seismic effects under seismic wave is discussed. Internal force and displacement in each section are analyzed and compared in consideration of vehicle and no-load and the results of response spectrum and the results of corresponding time-procedure analysis are compared and analyzed.
