This study is based on all-terrain crane as the specific object of heavy vehicles, which all-terrain crane suspension system model established in. By building a mathematical model of all-terrain crane hydro-pneumatic suspension system and using software AMEsim, hydro-pneumatic suspension was simulated to explore hydraulic and mechanical properties of all-terrain crane hydro-pneumatic suspension model. Optimization methods were used to research and improve hydro-pneumatic suspension system. This paper describes different suspension systems used in heavy vehicles, classified and summarized briefly varieties and working principle of suspension systems , and finally analyzed components and working principle of a type of all-terrain crane hydro-pneumatic suspension system simply, with the relevant performance parameters gave. And a two chamber model of heavy vehicle hydro-pneumatic suspension was established, including a simplified physical model and the mathematical model based on physical model, parameters of key components determined. The performance index of hydro-pneumatic suspension changed by each parameter introduced, detailed the process of suspension system simulation model, the mechanism performance of orifice diameter on hydro-petroleum suspension system was analyzed in detailed.Through the establishment of dynamic model of suspension system and the adoption of LQG active suspension controller, the vehicle body beat acceleration, suspension travel and tire dynamic displacement were selected to be optimization target and the control objectives of controller dynamic. By comparing the simulation results of controller with physical simulation results of active suspension, the performance of vehicle working under the control of active suspension is much better than the passive suspension engineering vehicles.
