Large-span Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell is a new kind of spatial structure. It is different from normal spatial latticed dome. It is based on Dou Gong. Consecutive Dou Gong-patterned dome is a new style structure, which consecutive concept, comparing to former revolving domes, it is constituted of ordinary space-truss at dome and pile-up horizontal annulus at underside. Currently, research on Dou Gong-patterned steel reticulated shell structures is not enough and cognition is not comprehensive. Based on FEM and numerical computation, the static characters and seismic characters as well as the geometrical and material nonlinear stability of the Large-span Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell are studied in the thesis.Firstly, the structural style and calculation model of large-span Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell were studied. Then the displacement, force, member stress and base reaction of this structure based on linear analysis of its static characteristic is discussed by 3D3S and ANSYS. By doing this, the next work which includes static stability and seismic analysis can be done more easily.Secondly, based on the result of its static analysis, the static stability of Large-span Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell is thoroughly analyzed with geometrical and material nonlinear finite element method. For the practical application, the influence on the static stability influenced by span, initial geometrical imperfections, supporting condition is discussed.Then the double nonlinear stability of single-layer and double-layer reticulated shells which are same as Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell studied in this paper is studied. The results of these three kinds of steel reticulated shell are contrasted.The seismic behavior of Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell is analyzed by the time-history analysis method. The structural span is 80m and is under one dimensional direction(X or Z), two dimensional directions(X and Z) as well as three dimensional directions (X, Y and Z) earthquake. Periods and frequencies of the Large-span Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell and the seismic behaviors of the Large-span Dou Gong-patterned spatial steel reticulated shell model are studied, and the dynamic response to earthquake are also analyzed in this thesis.Finally, some conclusions are drawn and some topics that should be further studied are brought forward.
