The modern large-span space structure is widespread utilized, attributed to its apparent merits, such as:reasonable force of structure, convenient installation, and attractive appearance. The single-layer reticulated shell is a classical representative of large-span space structure, due to the characteristics like large span, light weight, intensive natural vibration frequency and small damping ratio, the single-layer reticulated shell structure is greatly influenced by wind. On another side, earthquake occurs frequently all over the world in recent years. Consequently, the wind-resistant and earthquake-resistant analysis is an pivotal component of structure design. Although the paper’Specification for Space Frame Structures’advocated some structure design against earthquake, the structure design against wind is still scare.For the performance comparison with wind-resistant and earthquake-resistant of these structures, this paper aims at single-layer reticulated shell of Kiewitt8-8type. Appling random simulation of wind-load and three-dimensional seismic analysis of time domain, I make a systematic parameter analysis and comparison concerning its wind-induced response and earthquake-induced response. The main contributions are summarized as following:1. On the basis of single-layer reticulated shell structure’s characteristic, I emphatically elaborates its wind-resistant and earthquake-resistant analysis method about the wind-load random simulation and three-dimensional seismic in time domain, the statistical method and parameter analysis mothod for processing response Furthermore, in order to accurately compare the sensitive of wind and earthquake on different conditions, this paper introduces the parameter sensitivity analysis method to quantitatively research these structures.2. This paper establishes a framework of single-layer reticulated shell structure by software ANSYS. Though the parametric analysis, and the response compution to wind-induced and earthquake-induced (i.e. displacement, force), I examine the impact and sensitivity of response from different parameters.3. This paper introduces the comparison methodology of wind-resistant and earthquake-resistant capability. According to it, I compare with wind-induced and earthquake-induced response of single-layer reticulated shell structure on different conditions, and analyse its sensitivity of different parameters. Based on the beforementioned results, I select the representative model to discuss the controlling factor about wind-induced response and earthquake-induced response underdivergent basic wind pressure and seismic intensity. This paper provides a reference for structure design.
