There is a broad engineering background for the problems of vibration and noise of water pipeline system and its working process is attended by fluid-solid coupling. As one of the main noise source of water pipe, vibration and noise of valve is an important component of water pipeline system's vibration and noise. Therefore, For the purpose of obtaining the vibration and noise characteristics of the valve. In this paper, the methods of numerical simulation and experimental measurement are used to research the flow field distribution, structure vibration and noise of the typical butterfly valve in water pipeline system.Therefore, the following specific research is carried. First of all, numerical simulation of unsteady three-dimensional of internal flow field of typical butterfly valve is carried out, the internal flow characteristics and the fluid-structure coupling effect to the pressure pulsation of the tube are studied; Meanwhile the vibration of valve structure under the fluid excitation is researched. In addition, for two-port valve model, four-terminal network measuring principle is adopted, vibration noise test bench of pipeline system is built. The upstream and downstream flow noise and vibration acceleration of the butterfly valve in different conditions are measured, and the influence of valve opening, fluid velocity and other parameters to the characteristics of its vibration and noise is analyzed; At last, the valve noise source characteristics is obtained by the measurement of double-load test.By analyzing the results of Numerical simulation and the test, several conclusions are received. First, the internal turbulence is strong in case of smaller opening of the valve, the vortex appears at the valve downstream is clear and it will be weakened along the flow direction to small vortex until its disappearance. Secondly, coupling of fluid flow and structure have a greater impact on the inside pressure fluctuation, to study vibration and noise of water pipeline valve using CFD method must consider fluid-solid coupling; Third, the throttling effect of the valve plate is the main reason for the vibration and noise, valve noise and structure vibration are changed according to a certain rule with the different of the valve opening and the flow rate; Finally, The characteristics of noise source of the valve under different conditions are obtained using the method of four-terminal network which will open a new approach to research the discipline of the valve noise, be useful to the study of the vibration and noise characteristics of the Water pipeline system and provide reference for the reduction of the vibration and noise of the pipeline system.
