With the increasingly prominent global environmental and energy issues, developing a new electric car of low fuel consumption and low emissions becomes the primary task in the car industry. But Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle's appearance has resolved the problem of pure electric vehicle's short driving range.Beyond that it can also drive in pure electric mode so that it is thought to be one of the most representative solutions to clean energy cars' conversion.Under this background the paper bases on the scientific and technological project of "diesel-electric hybrid power plant design and control technology" in Harbin, To the purpose of carrying out study about the Plug-in diesel-electric hybrid vehicles of power, fuel economy with its influence factors and the vehicle energy flow etc.The paper has chosen Hafei Saibao HFJ7161 car as basal model and has also proposed a whole program of the vehicle's power-driven system. It has not only accurately calculated and matched the vehicle's engine, motor, batteries and so on but also established the model of main power components.Otherwise the paper has also studied the performance of the vehicle. From the simulation result we can get the following conclusions. The oil consumption in hundred kilometers of Plug-in diesel-electric hybrid vehicles in 1015 cycle, the NEDC cycle, and the HWFET cycle comparing with the conventional vehicle reaching the remarkable result of saving fuel; The vehicle's dynamic property is a little improved. In order to further study the factors of HEV's fuel economy, the paper has analysed the five main parameters' influence to fuel economy just as the whole weight, Rolling friction coefficient. Air resistance coefficient. Frontal area and the initial SOC. If not considering the interaction the vehicle weight impacts the fuel economy greatest in 1015 cycle while the Rolling friction coefficient,Air resistance coefficient,Frontal area in the HWFET cycle and the initial SOC in the NEDC cycle;Considering the interaction we obtained the correlation between fuel economy factor and various factors indicating that not only parameters of single factor and fuel economy are related but also parameter interaction factor and the fuel economy are also relevant. At last with study of the vehicle's energy utilization,we can get that in 1015 cycle the energy's transmission efficiency is least and the energy demand of per-average distance is most;while in HWFET cycle is the highest and least.Otherwise with study of the five main parameters' influence to the energy flow,we can get that in HWFET cycle the whole vehicle weight, Frontal area and Air resistance coefficient have affected the energy flow greatest, while the Frontal area and Air resistance coefficient have the least effect to the energy flow and the initial SOC has no effect to it.With the study of the Plug-in Diesel-Electric Hybrid Vehicle's performance, we can get favorable basis for the subsequent design and parameters' optimization.
